During recent weeks I have spoke with many people about building a windmill to power their homes. Much to my amazement, many people do not realize they can own a windmill or even construct a windmill themselves. While I cannot speak for countries outside the U.S.A., here at home we can enjoy the freedom of building a windmill or making a solar panel.

Do not assume that every subdivision will allow you to install a wind generator with a 15 foot blade span. Some of our freedoms are removed by deed restrictions. But do not be dicouraged. There are many alternatives readily available. Many companies are downsizing windmill blades to fit on your roof much like a satellite dish.
